"Save Innocence"
All reality shows are so harsh or deeply sad... Why does reality have to be so harsh? Children's reality shows like singing, dancing on the songs with typical expressions which make them loose their "Total Innocence"... I am not against their talents but make sure they enjoy their childhood cz these shows are bringing in them strong competition where on one hand we teach them to compete with oneself, (we are contradicting our own values) where with competition comes jealousy.....
How and Why would a 8 year old child in any case, understand that due to less votes, in spite of dancing great, he/she will loose in the show? What would happen to his/her psyche? We as adults want to flaunt about our children that's why we are putting them in these shows. Every child has potential in them and they will show up at the right time.....
Due to these shows, children who may not like singing, dancing are also getting pulled towards it for fame and money which shud not be in their dictionary at this age. If they start doing what adults do then by the time they grow they will find themselves in a state of vaccum and bored in life. Life will seem stangnant.
Let each child taste the life of childhood fun..

am so proud of u Kshiti... :) ur last para said it all... someone had to take a step..not against the talent but for talent preserving the innocence..
ReplyDeleteI am more than glad that you guys agree...
ReplyDeleteYou'll read it, means a lot to me and ofcourse wish many people read it and someway this kinda harsh competition stops...
Lets "Save Tigers and Innocence" both
i agree with you ,,, wht you are pointing is on a rise these days and it defi. takes away the cuteness, innocence and the child out of those young kids......
ReplyDeletebut just to point because this is being shown on tv we are talking against it ,,, but in daily life,, in school ,,, at tution ,, at sports ground,,, at the society event all the places kids are de motivated like these,,, i support the grading system for the same reason ,,, just as votes kids at very young are competing for marks with no fun or practicalitty of the same,,,
sad part is i see parents grading between kids,,, or between their son and their frnds,,, i recon it is also equally bad ( plz pardon spelling mistakes...farmers are bad at english u see) :)

ReplyDeleteI totaly support what Kshiti has said. Why cant we let the children dance, sing for the fun of it... why do they have to compete against each other??

i completely agree with you!
ReplyDeleteA really thoughtful and nice article.
ReplyDeleteThese shows must be for fun and experience.
Parents should put their efforts to develop the child as an individual. They are their strongest pillar and the best critic.
Thomas Alva Edison-"My mother was the making of me. She was so true, so sure of me; and I felt I had something to live for, someone I must not disappoint."
Life will bestow them with innumerable opportunities to prove their capability to stand out of the crowd.
@Anonymous: I am more than thankful to you to read my article and glad that you feel the same way... Hope many understand this in order to bring it into pratice....
ReplyDeleteThat's very well pointed out. Kids today are anyways losing their childhood in a maze of classes, camps, video games etc. They really could do without this reality show nonsense.
ReplyDeletevery true ....
ReplyDeletehi Kshiti i agree with the fact that because of these shows small kids are bound to say, act and behave in a very mature way(which really does not suit them) and their emotions and feelings after they loose is given so much hype. why so much competition............ people need to understand that 'childhood is a journey...not a race. let children enjoy it'.
